Northfield Park has announced the dates of three Fall Late Closing series.
All of the newly added Late Closers carry a condition of: non-winners of two pari-mutuel races (Ohio-breds non-winners of three) or non-winners of $15,000 lifetime (through Aug. 31, 2014).
Tuesdays (October 7, October 14, October 21 and October 28) will host The Election Night Series for trotters. Each of the four legs will carry purses of $5,000. The $15,000 final (all purses guaranteed) will go to post on Tuesday, November 4.
Thursdays (October 9, October 16, October 23 and October 30) will offer The Halloween Series for horse and gelding pacers. Each leg will be raced for a $5,000 purse. The final will be Thursday, November 6 for a purse of $15,000.
Fridays (October 10, October 17 and October 24) and Thursday (October 30) highlight The Friday Night Lights Series for filly and mare pacers. Each of these legs will also carry a $5,000 purse. The $15,000 final will be Friday, November 7.
A one-time $300 payment will be required of each entrant to be eligible. Payments are due by September 26.
