Great job by Georgian Downs. The female jockeys dominated, and their talent was obvious. He's a great driver but in my opinion Jody Jamieson would have no chance in this competition. Is this a good way to bring more young female participation to standardbred racing? Don't mean to sound sexist, but the ladies were real hotties.

Kawartha Downs had a "trot under saddle" race about 5 years ago. It was fun to watch but one of the horses tried to duck under the gate as the starting car was rolling. Luckily the car was moving slow enough at the time and the rider just grabbed the wings of the gate rather than hanging onto the horse. Everyone was safe! Hang onto your hats, it could be a bumpy night! Good luck to Georgian on the X-treme Event

This sounds awesome. Way to go Jackie Warner and Georgian Downs. Thanks to all the horses and riders. All keep safe and GOOD LUCK. Riders Up !!!!!

In 1998 Nancy Stephens from Woodstock ran the racing under saddle for Ontario through OHHA. It incorporated both trotters and pacers and it was really fun and neat to watch. It was unfortunate that it was cancelled due to funding and for insurance purposes. Hats off to the staff at Georgian Downs to have one with all trotters. Good luck to the participants.

They had a trot under saddle @ Greenwood years ago during Rothmans week of racing.
Great to see it back!!
