Inverness Raceway will play host to two- and three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters on Wednesday (Aug. 21). The Meridian Farms and PEIHRIA-sponsored races will be the divisions’ last ATSS legs of the season.

A pair of $8,620 divisions for the three-year-olds have been carded as Race 2 and 4.

Thelastonestanding (to be driven by Brian MacPhee) is the early favourite in the second race, while Dusty Lane Titan (Marc Campbell) and Richsnortherndream (Kenny Arsenault) round out the top three morning line choices.

Race 4 will see Ya Boy Bear (Marc Campbell) and Gettin Messi (Mike McGuigan) battle for the top of the points leader board. Mile Hill Willie (Gilles Barrieau), who will start with rail, control is the other early favourite.

The only division for two-year-olds has been carded as Race 6. Six contenders will vie for the lion’s share of the $15,120 purse. Mabou Ridge (Clare MacDonald), Tequila Tuesday (Myles Heffernan Sr.) and Go With Her (Kuri White) are the top three picks.

The two and three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters will be looking to take full advantage of their last opportunity to seek points for entry into the Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship finals. The Atlantic Breeders Crown will take place on October 13 at Red Shores’ Charlottetown Driving Park during the Atlantic Breeders Crown weekend.

First-race post time will be at 7 p.m.
