Plainridge Racecourse, with the approval of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, has canceled its card for Wednesday August 13. The weather forecast calls for heavy thunderstorms with up to two inches of rain in the area.
Virtually the entire state is under a flood watch for Wednesday. Plainridge management made the decision after consultation with its horsemen.
The card has not been rescheduled at this time. Racing will resume at the Massachusetts track on Saturday at 4 p.m.
