Jackie Crepin Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Jackie Crepin, a longtime trainer from the Ottawa area, died on July 7 in hospital after a battle with cancer. He was 55

.

Recently, Crepin trained the eight-year-old pacing mare, Ritas Deal, for his brother Harvey. The homebred daughter of Make A Deal - Gypsy Wilco won 11 times earning $75,569 while under his care.

A viewing will be held on July 11 at Kelly's Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street W. Ottawa from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m.

I will miss Jackie, because with all my dealing with him, his word was good enough.

Wayne and family, Jackie will be sorrily missed. We go back alot of years, lots of laughs, and a few tears. Will miss him coming to the barn on a daily basis, kidding around just wont be the same. Stay strong Wayne. He was a great brother and friend.

My condolences to all the Crepin familly , Jack was a great friend and a great person.
I am sure that Wayne will miss him but he is a strong man.
I will allways remember the great times we had with Gypsy Wilco.

Jackie will be sadly missed, for his laughter, and his great spirit towards racing. I will always remember him because of Ritas Deal. A real true friend. My condolences to Wayne,and the family. Al Thibert
