Trot Insider has learned that Jackie Crepin, a longtime trainer from the Ottawa area, died on July 7 in hospital after a battle with cancer. He was 55
.
Recently, Crepin trained the eight-year-old pacing mare, Ritas Deal, for his brother Harvey. The homebred daughter of Make A Deal - Gypsy Wilco won 11 times earning $75,569 while under his care.
A viewing will be held on July 11 at Kelly's Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street W. Ottawa from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m.

Wayne and family, Jackie will be sorrily missed. We go back alot of years, lots of laughs, and a few tears. Will miss him coming to the barn on a daily basis, kidding around just wont be the same. Stay strong Wayne. He was a great brother and friend.
