I celebrate Paul's life and mourn his passing. We are all reminded of the beauty of everyday of life as it is truly a "beautiful thing". We all will miss Paul and Peter..

Nobody knows when their time is up; so do as Paul always did celebrate every day as a "Bonus Day" -- we shall all miss him.

My sincerest empathy and condolences to Jim and the Doherty family.

I met Paul while working for Jack Kopas in Orlando some twenty-five years ago. What a great guy. I believe his favorite saying was, "the lights are on, the horn's blowing and there ain't nobody home. He was happy go lucky and had the most infectious laugh of any irish man I ever knew. He will be greatly missed by all. My prayers are with his family and friends.

God Bless You Paul.

thoughts and prayers are with his family...we remember Paul's smile & laugh....we knew Paul when he worked training for Jack Kopas at Ben White Raceway over 25 years ago; a few years ago, he stopped by on a winter beach vacation & visited us at Spring Garden Ranch....saw him again last year when he brought Dewey into retention at Mohawk. God bless!

Sincere condolences to Paul Dohertys family a great shock to the trotting world. He will be missed by many friends and associates.I will always be grateful to him for the help and advice he has given my son G W Dowse whilst working for Ray Schnittker at Goshen. Will never forget the time we had jogging around Goshen track chatting about the UK trotting comparing it to USA and Canada. A guy who loved the sport the horses and the people in it. RIP

Dad and I are shocked and saddened at Paul's passing. Bill (Moe) and I had many interesting conversations following Paul's career and his connection to Ray as his top trainer and as his partner in many yearlings. Somethings just don't make sense and this is one of them.

Our sincere thoughts and prayers to Jim; Bill and all the family.

My deepest condolences are conveyed to the Doherty family.Although I haven't seen Paul in over 20 years I have thought of him often and received updates on his many successes from his proud brother Moe. Paul and i were inseparable growing up and his sense of humor and wit were second to none.Paul was also for the first one to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. You have undoubtedly touched many lives and left many with fond memories such as I have.
Farewell my friend,

The Speight's deepest condolences goes out to the Doherty family.
Having lost Peter less than a month ago makes this tragedy even more hurtful.
I am sure Ann that Nanny is feeling your hurt and her love is with you.
God bless you and know that we are all feeling your sorrow.

My deepest condolences to the Doherty family. As if it wasn't difficult enough losing Peter less than one month ago (June 10), they now have to deal with this.
