Horseman James V. Rice, 81, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away on July 25.
Rice was an owner and trainer of many Standardbreds for more than 20 years, including Direct Ruler, Sunny Art, Darth Ruler and Kyle Ruler.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda; daughters, Beth (Dan) Marsh, Susie (Mike) Harris and Kristie (Bill) Miller; and grandchildren, Sarah, Scott, Jenny, Emily and Trevor.
