Mohawk Racetrack has a card on July 19 that you can’t miss! In conjunction with the night of exciting Canadian Breeders Championships and the coveted Maple Leaf Trot, the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club will be hosting an Online Handicapping Challenge.
We’ll also be on site at Mohawk on Saturday night. Stop by to enter our contest to select the winner of the Maple Leaf Trot, check out the Canadian Breeders Championship trophies and our summer swag!
To commemorate this exciting evening of harness racing, the Fan Club will offer an online Handicapping Challenge featuring an assortment of questions based on the card of racing. Each question will be worth a predetermined number of points. The contestant who earns the highest number of points out of a possible 20 will be declared the winner. (see Terms and Conditions below for more details)
Participants will be asked to do the following:
• Select the winner of the four Canadian Breeders Championship races (3 points each)
• Select the winner of the Maple Leaf Trot (2 points)
• Select the driver who will earn the most purse money in the evening (2 points)
• Will the Maple Leaf Trot go faster or slower than the stakes record of 1:50.4 set by Mister Herbie in 2012? (2 points)
• What will be the winningest post position from all the races on the card? (2 points)
Terms and Conditions
1. The Standardbred Canada (SC) CBC & MLT Handicapping Challenge will be conducted from Thursday, July 17, 2014 to Saturday, July 19, 2014, with entry open until 6:00 PM EST on Saturday, July 19. No purchase is necessary. There is no cost to register. Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration, is an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club member and has Internet access at time of registration. The contest is void in whole where prohibited by law.
2. The contest will close for entries at 6:00 PM EST on Saturday, July 19th, 2014. The winner will be the contestant who earns the most points out of a possible 20. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by blind draw.
3. Winner will be contacted via e-mail at the e-mail address or phone number provided on the entry form.
4. Submissions with incomplete, bogus or invalid names and/or e-mail addresses will not be accepted.
5. Only one entry will be accepted per individual and e-mail address. Multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification. SC reserves the right to disqualify any contestant which SC believes has submitted more than one entry.
6. Employees, Directors and immediate family who reside at the same residence as Standardbred Canada, Woodbine Entertainment Group or any provincial racing commission employees are not eligible for this contest.
7. No faxed, mailed, electronically mailed, or phoned-in entries are allowed.
8. SC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, ineligible or mutilated entries. SC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable hardware or software or telephone transmission or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmission or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of SC and will not be returned.
9. SC reserves the sole right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this contest.
10. Anything not covered in these rules will be ruled on by the management of SC and their decision will be final and binding.
11. Contestants, by entering the contest, agree to be bound by the above rules and regulations.
The contest will open for entries Thursday, July 17 and will close for entries at 6:00 PM EST Saturday, July 19. The contest winner will receive an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Prize Pack.
