Don Fisher Passes

Don E. Fisher, 60, passed away at The Ohio State University Heart Hospital on Monday, July 11 following a heart attack.

He was a longtime owner of Standardbreds in Ohio and Indiana that were trained by Mike Conklin, Herb LeVan, Don Pfister and Paul Ungashick, to name a few.

Some of the horses Fisher owned were Grand Sam, trained by Paul Ungashick, and Mattress Dancing, trained by Mike Conklin and Don Pfister.

Fisher had retired from Honda Auto Plant and was working part time at Blues Creek Equine Center at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Heidi; and his parents, Don E. and Pauline.
