TheStable.ca Starts Summer School

TheStable.ca, horse racing’s fastest-growing fractional ownership stable has introduced a new Summer School program to provide supervised hands-on learning about Standardbred horses and harness racing.

TheStable.ca Summer School program offers two course levels delivered in four pilot classes on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. starting July 28. All classes are conducted at TheStable.ca’s base of operations, Tomiko Training Centre in Puslinch, Ont.

Each class is restricted to 10 students with two instructors. Attendees must be at least 10, and children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
TheStable.ca Summer School 101: In-Barn Basics is a beginner session suited for people who want a basic understanding of racehorses and horse racing. All activities will be conducted in the barn. This course is offered July 28 and August 4.

TheStable.ca Summer School 201: Barn & Track is an intermediate session for people with a basic understanding of racehorses and horse racing and a desire to learn and do more, including jogging one of the horses (in a double-seated jog cart, accompanied by a trainer). This course is available August 11 and August 18.

All courses are $50 plus HST and an online booking fee.
