If you were planning to bet on horses driven by Paul MacDonell this Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack, think again.
The much-respected MacDonell, who has recorded 5,296 driving wins over the course of his career, will be front and centre during the Meadowlands Racetrack’s program of live racing on Saturday.
MacDonell will be on track early and often, as the resident of Guelph, Ont. is scheduled to drive in 10 of the track’s 13 dashes. The morning-line oddsmaker likes MacDonell’s chances on the Saturday card, as he has been gauged at low early odds in multiple races.
MacDonell is a fixture at Canada’s top tracks (Mohawk Racetrack and Woodbine Racetrack) and it is a rarity to see him battling with a full slate of drives at the Meadowlands.
MacDonell – who piloted the great Somebeachsomewhere throughout his career and is one of the most respected reinsman in Canadian harness racing – has driven his mounts to over $113 million in earnings.
