Long time standardbred owner and supporter, Barry Stewart, passed away on May 25 at the age of 82
.
Barry enjoyed afternoons and evenings at the racetrack and took great pride in his horses, which in more recent years included Giro Jake and Giro Midnight.
He was predeceased by his parents Carl and Gladys Stewart (McDougall); and brothers Brent and Bruce. Barry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen; daughter Karen (Rob) of Irvine, AB; sons Barry (Janice) of Moose Jaw, Carl (Amy), Scott and Brent (Rachelle) all of Regina; sister Carla McKeown (Terry) of Walnut Creek, CA; sister-in-law Lenore Stewart of Yorkton; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
