The Standardbred Showcase Riding Club season kicks off this coming Sunday (June 3) at the Orono Fairgrounds with Standardrama, the first event of the summer's Ontario Standardbred Show Series.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The classes will include dressage, halter, jumping driving, western, games, costume and lead line.
"We have a fantastic silent auction with harness racing art, Jays Tickets and many more items for everyone," said organizer Tammi Hughes. "We are inviting everyone to come out and show some support to the horses and riders. It’s amazing feeling to watch these horses go from the race track to ring. So many horseman that come out to see it say it gives them goosebumps to see it in person. Come on out and enjoy!"
