Connie Chapman, beloved wife of the late Hall of Famer Cliff 'Chappy' Chapman, passed away peacefully at home in Rockwood, Ont. on May 1, 2018 at the age of 98.

Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, she was the youngest of five children of James and Inga Boudreau. The family moved to Toronto in 1928. Connie married Chappy in 1942 and in 1965 they moved to Tillsonburg. Chappy was the publisher of The Canadian Sportsman and was inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2008. Connie was the sweetest little gal you could ever meet. Her children and grandchildren adored her.

Connie was predeceased by her sister May Crossman of Stratford and brothers Stan, Leo and Chester. She is lovingly remembered by her children Shari Lovell (Don) of Rockwood; Paul (Nancy) of Dorchester and Kim Chapman (Don Gross) of Sonoma, CA. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Paul Jr. (Xana), Megan and Abbey.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Lisa Beitz, Jeannette Bos and Dr. Alejandre Marin for their kind and compassionate care over the last several years.

Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to consider performing a random act of kindness in her honour or a donation to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.

A tree will be planted in memory of Constance K. Chapman in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Connie Chapman.
