With just two weeks left to the end of the live race meet at Pompano Park, the track is now featuring live racing on Wednesdays and Saturdays only
. The final day of the meet will be Saturday, May 16.
The Wednesday, May 6 program features twin $20,000 Open events and a total of 15 races.
The fifth race $20,000 Open Handicap Trot features the return of Too Salty. In his last start Too Salty captured the $42,500 final of the Trots N Slots Series and he is listed as the 2-1 morning line favourite from Post 7 for driver Bruce Ranger. Too Salty made an impressive three-wide move on the final turn last week and posted a two and one quarter-length victory in a lifetime best 1:54.4.
Crystal Chris, who last week just missed winning the $40,000 final of the Girls Night Out Series, heads the sixth race $20,000 Mares Open Pace.
