OHHA & Flamboro To Host Kids Camp

Published: May 22, 2009 04:19 pm EDT

The Ontario Harness Horse Association and Flamboro Downs are pleased to team up again this summer to offer a special four-day interactive day camp for kids aged 10-13, at Flamboro Downs

Racetrack in Hamilton, Ontario.

The camp will run from July 16 - 19, starting at 9:00 a.m. and running until 5:00 p.m.

The camp is open to children from a non-harness-racing background that would like to learn how to groom, bathe, harness, and yes, even drive a standardbred racehorse.

It's an amazing summer learning experience that's full of fun and excitement!

What's more, it's absolutely free to our select group of participants, who will be chosen based on their 200-word essays on 'Why I Want to Drive a Racehorse.'

The catch? The deadline is fast approaching! Essays must be submitted by June 16, 2009 to Wendy Wasylowich at Flamboro Downs.

Please submit applications to:

Wendy Wasylowich c/o Flamboro Downs
967 Hwy #5 West
P.O. Box 8220
Hamilton, Ontario
L9H 6Y6

Applications can also be faxed to 905-627-0480 (attn: Wendy Wasylowich) or emailed to [email protected].
