Pinkman In To Go At The Big M

The last time Pinkman took part in a pari-mutuel race at the Meadowlands Racetrack he did something pretty special – that was win the Hambletonian.

The altered son of Explosive Matter is set to return to the Meadowlands in Race 6 on Friday, May 13. He is scheduled to face six foes on Friday, and his sites are set squarely on next week’s opening leg of the Graduate Series.

Pinkman's 2015 season resulted in his being named the Dan Patch three-year-old trotter of the year. He danced virtually every dance and won 11 of his 17 seasonal starts. In addition to his Hambletonian victory, Pinkman tallied wins in the Canadian Trotting Classic and Kentucky Futurity. He banked more than $2 million in purse earnings last season. Pinkman is scheduled to start from Post 4 on Friday. He is heading into the race off of a pair of qualifying dashes for Jimmy Takter, who trains him for owners Christina Takter, Jon and Jim Fielding, Joyce McClelland and Herb Liverman. Yannick Gingras will drive.

The guaranteed horizontal wagers are in place for the Big M’s Friday card. The last race on the program features the Hi-5 Super Jackpot, which currently stands at $212,593 to open the weekend.

First-race post time for the Friday card is 7:15 p.m.
