Officials at Cal Expo and Running Aces Casino & Racetrack will offer a joint incentive program for horsemen who race horses beginning in 2017 at Running Aces. All horses that have made ten or more starts at Cal Expo since January 1, 2017 are eligible for the 10 percent win bonus during the Running Aces 2017 race season. Cal Expo, in turn, will offer the same incentive to any winning horse with 10 or more starts during the 2017 meet at Running Aces.
“In efforts to provide a better product and reward those who support racing in Minnesota and California, Running Aces has joined with Cal Expo to further develop a natural circuit,” said Taro Ito, Running Aces CEO.
These incentives in addition to incentives for MN-restricted races will provide full, competitive fields for the 10th live racing meet at Running Aces which resumes May 20, 2017.
Both tracks are committed to finding new ways to keep the racing product at their tracks on the forefront of the racing industry. "We are very pleased to announce joint win incentive bonus," said Chris Schick, General Manager Watch and Wager Cal Expo harness. "This comes on the heels of coordination of race dates, and barn area openings. We will continue to seek more synergies to reward and strengthen the core horseman who race Cal Expo in the Fall/Winter, and Running Aces in the summer," continued Schick.
