Qualifiers Cancelled At 3R

Published: April 6, 2017 05:06 pm EDT

Track management at Hippodrome 3R has announced that the qualifying races scheduled for Saturday, April 8, have been cancelled.

Due to a snowstorm last week, followed by warming weather and rains this week through Friday, the racetrack surface will need additional work and will not be ready by the weekend.

Qualifying races will be this Tuesday, April 11 starting at 11:00 a.m. Horses must be entered to race on Monday, April 10 by 11:00 am.

A Standardbred Canada field rep will be on hand at the qualifiers in order to take care of any SC business that horsepeople need to address.

SC would like to remind all horsepeople that all memberships and eligibility fees need to be paid. Additionally, name changes need to be made before a horse ever qualifies. Coggins tests are required as set out in the rules in your racing jurisdiction.

Membership renewals and eligibility fees are two of many services that can be purchased online. To pay online, register with the SC website and sign into eShop by clicking the 'eShop' button at the top of the homepage.

Opening day at the Hippodrome 3R is set for Sunday, April 23 with a new first race post time of 12:50 p.m.
