Officials with Flamboro Downs have informed Trot Insider that the track has opted to adjust its Sunday post times, effective May 5.
Effective Sunday, May 5, Flamboro Downs will be changing its start time on Sundays to 6:55 p.m.
The decision was made in an effort to better align Flamboro’s live signal throughout the simulcast market.
The start time for Thursday and Saturday live racing will remain at 6:35 p.m.

Flamboro had the greatest
Flamboro had the greatest Canadian afternoon racing for over 30 years with the Confederation Cup. Post time 1 pm and I know dozens of families that drove from Toronto to Flamboro for the afternoon of racing. It was a great picnic style family affair and if you weren't there by noon, you probably didn't get a seat.
But someone decided to change the post time to 6 pm. With the races ending around 11 pm, we were lucky to be getting home well after 1am. From the dozens of people that I know attended every year, not one of us has gone back for the night racing.
Would it be possible to make
Would it be possible to make post time 6pm?
That would make it more family friendly on a Sunday evening. Especially for those who would like to have dinner at the track.
Race 10 will now be going to post well after 10pm. Too late.
U.S. harness tracks have no
U.S. harness tracks have no trouble aligning their signal in the afternoon. Flamboro should try afternoon racing.
