ORC Rules On Six Appeals

In regard to Lorne House, he was appealing an ORC ruling regarding a driving infraction committed at The Raceway at Western Fair District on February 3, 2014. The ORC panel denied House’s appeal. To view an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Colin Johnson, he was appealing a ruling made by ORC judges at Woodbine Racetrack on January 15, 2014. The ORC panel allowed Johnson’s appeal, in part, by varying the penalty. To view an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Patrick Shepherd, he was appealing a ruling by the ORC in regard to a situation which took place at Woodbine Racetrack on October 17, 2013. The ORC panel denied Shepherd’s appeal. To view an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Scott Wray, he was appealing an ORC ruling in regard to a driving infraction which took place February 7, 2014 at The Raceway at Western Fair District. The ORC panel denied the appeal but varied the penalty. To view an official copy of the ORC ruling, click here.

In regard to Gabriella Sasso and Ronald Adams, they were each appealing ORC rulings which were issued on February 7, 2014 at Woodbine Racetrack. The ORC panel hearing the appeals ruled the following:

  1. Disclosure – the applications for further disclosure were denied as premature, without prejudice to subsequent applications based upon a change in circumstances;
  2. Stay – the applications for stays of the Rulings were denied without prejudice to subsequent applications based upon a change in circumstances;
  3. Appeal – the appeals against the hold of the purse monies were denied.
