On March 24, the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) Board of Directors adopted a proposal to amend the RCI Model Rules for changes to the Pick (n) Pool.
The details of the amendments appear below.
On March 24, 2016 the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) Board of Directors adopted a proposal to amend the RCI Model Rules for changes to the Pick (n) Pool. As per section 143 of the Pari-Mutuel Betting Supervision Regulations, this type of bet is available to Canadian race-course associations.
The amendments to the Pick (n) Pool;

Require associations to pay, on a “mandatory pay-out day”, the net pool and any carryover amounts to winning ticket holders when official results can be determined for at least one race of the pool,

Provide racetracks an option to the favorite substitution rule where their provincial racing Commission has approved them to allow their patrons to select an alternate horse in case of a scratch in addition to the favorite substitution rule, and

Provide greater certainty to the requirement when there is no ticket with at least one winner in any leg of the selected Pick (n) Pool races. In these situations, if the Method has a carryover, then the day’s bets will be added to the carryover. If the Method has no carryover, then the day’s bets are refunded.
These changes are administrative in nature and add greater certainty and standardization to the current Pick (n) pool rules. The amending language to the Pick (n) pool rules will soon be available online at Association of Racing Commissioners International Model Rules.

Le 24 mars 2016, le Conseil d'administration de l'Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) a adopté une proposition de modifications des règles types du RCI visant le LOTO « N ». Conformément à l'article 143 du Règlement sur la surveillance du pari mutuel, ce type de pari est offert aux associations de courses canadiennes.
Les modifications du LOTO « N » s’énoncent comme suit:

Exiger des associations qu’elles versent, à une « date de paiement obligatoire », la poule nette et tout montant reporté aux détenteurs de billets gagnants lorsque le résultat officiel d’au moins une course dans le cadre de la poule peut être déterminé.

Offrir aux hippodromes, lorsque leur commission les a autorisés, une option à la règle du substitut de choix et de permettre à leurs clients de choisir un autre cheval en cas de retrait.

Clarifier davantage la règle dans les cas où aucun détenteur de billet n’a choisi au moins un cheval gagnant dans l’une des tranches du LOTO « N ». Dans ces cas, si la méthode comprend un report, les montants des paris de la journée seront ajoutés au report. Si la méthode ne comprend pas de report, les montants des paris de la journée seront remboursés.
Ces modifications sont d’ordre administratif et visent à clarifier et à normaliser davantage les règles actuelles sur la poule LOTO « N ». Les modifications du libellé des règles sur la poule LOTO « N » seront en ligne sous peu sur le site du comité des règles types de l'Association of Racing Commissioners International.
