The last of the Thursday night live Meadowlands Racetrack cards comes around this week, as ‘Big M’ racing will then be condensed down to Fridays and Saturdays through the August 5, Hambletonian Day, which will be the conclusion of the track’s summer meet.
This week's feature has been carded as Race 8, a conditioned trot. It's a well balanced field of nine with O U Sexy Guy listed as a tepid 3-1 morning line choice. The eight-year-old veteran is dropping into an easier spot for owner Patricia Ceraso after having provided competitive yet not financially rewarding efforts against better foes in his last few Meadowlands starts. The potent native Buckeye combination of trainer Jack Franklin and driver Brett Miller will handle the respective assignments on O U Sexy Guy.
Host Justin Horowitz will be at the desk for the last of the broadcasts on the SNY network, as they carry Races 7 through 9 live in the metropolitan area.
The nine-race program will begin at 7:15 p.m.
