Winbak Farm To Hold Open Houses

Winbak Farm of Canada and Winbak Farm of Delaware both will be holding an Open House to showcase the farms and their stallions

. Winbak Farm of Canada’s Open House will be held on Sunday March 29th from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with guest speakers on equine nutrition. Winbak Farm of Delaware’s Open House will be held on Saturday, April 4th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with Dr. Patricia Sertich from New Bolton Center speaking.

Winbak Farm of Canada will be taking RSVP’s for their event until March 25th. The day includes ‘Is hay really that important to my mares,’ by Alf Budweth of Budson Farm & Feed Company, ‘Body Condition Scoring and my mares,’ by Blair O. Keeling of Masterfeeds, ‘Breeding Management to Optimize Pregnancy Rates,’ by Dr. Keith Colquhoun, DVM, Colquhoun & Associates Equine Vet Services, a hay challenge, hands-on body condition scoring, lunch and a New Stallion Showcase.

Winbak Farm of Canada is now standing Badlands Hanover, sire of millionaire Badlands Nitro and Three-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year Tug River Princess. He currently stands for $5,000 Cdn. World Champion Pacing Triple Crown Winner Blissfull Hall also resides at Winbak Farm of Canada where he stands for $4,000 Cdn. Blissfull Hall is the sire of millionaire Marnie Hall and Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Points Winner Arctic Warrior.

Winbak Farm of Delaware will be taking RSVP’s for their event until March 31st. Dr. Patricia Sertich, Associate Professor of Clinical Education in Reproduction at New Bolton Center of the University of Pennsylvania will speak on, ‘The Mare’s Placenta: A Diary of Her Pregnancy.’ Then there will be the Delaware Stallion Showcase, with new stallions Giant Hit and Rustler Hanover being featured.

Giant Hit, a new trotting sire to Delaware, by the great Speedy Crown, was a top trotting sire in New York whose progeny has made over $9.5 million. Rustler Hanover, the new pacing sire to Delaware, is the full brother Richess Hanover and Red River Hanover, and the three-quarter brother to Rocknroll Hanover. He is the sire of Keystone Horatio who was the Canadian Breeder’s Champion and leading Ontario Sire Stakes money earner.
