Richard Pirog Passes

Richard N. Pirog, 60, of Orchard Park, NY, who worked as part of the track crew at the Delaware County Fair and was track superintendent at Tioga Downs, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, at home in Orchard Park.

Pirog was born May 31, 1957 in Buffalo, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Alice (Newton) Pirog.

Richard is survived by his loyal friend ‘Duke,’ brother of Marty C. Pirog, sister Lynette (Greg) Coon, nephews Peter Coon and Michael Coon; aunt Yasabel Gibson and cousin Charles Newton; and great-nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Steven J. Pirog and Ken (Sandy) Pirog.

A memorial service was held on Monday, March 19 at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park.
