On the heels of a rally held at Queen's Park in February, a second rally has been confirmed for Monday
, March 26 at Queen’s Park (front lawn - 110 Wellesley Street, Toronto) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and the Ontario Harness Horse Association would like to extend an invitation to all individuals involved in, and concerned about, the racing industry in Ontario to attend.
This rally has been scheduled to emphasize once more the importance of the horse racing industry, the economic benefits it contributes to the Province of Ontario, and to provide information regarding the far-reaching adverse results should the Liberal government of Ontario persist in its plan to end the slots-at-racetracks program as currently in place with 17 racetracks in the province.
It is imperative we impress upon the MPPs of our province the magnitude of the trickle-down effects of this ill-conceived initiative which will be devastating and very widely felt.
As of 1:00 p.m. on Friday, the bus schedule for Monday’s rally has been confirmed as shown below. Please be advised that changes to the number of busses and/or departure times will be posted as they occur.
