Longtime harness racing industry participant Dwane Graham passed away Friday (March 17) at the age of 62 following a massive heart attack.
Dwane, who lived in Caledonia, worked in the Standardbred industry for most of his life. In addition to being a trainer himself, he had worked for a number of other horsemen including Donnie Graham, Bill Robinson, Brett Robinson and Harold Stead.
Over the years he looked after horses like Holborn Hanover and Rare Jewel. At the time of passing he owned and trained Burn Em Up Burr, a horse currently racing in Ontario.
Graham is survived by his wife, Bea; his brothers Robbie and Donnie; and sister, Joanne. Dwane will be cremated and a celebration of life will be announced in the coming days.
Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Dwane Graham.
