Ralph Paul Passes

Standardbred horse owner Ralph Paul, born June 23, 1928, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018, at the age of 89.

Paul graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Architecture. He was a builder and built many prominent developments and projects throughout Delaware, including Chateau Orleans Apartments and Colony North Apartments.

He had many interests, including restoring vintage automobiles and Standardbred racing. He was a frequent visitor to Brandywine Raceway, and every other track.

Paul was a member of M & L of Delaware and owned such outstanding horses as Midnight JD, Billie T Bret, Cammies Lady, Ladylind, Mantacular and his namesake, Ralph E Redman, to name a few.

A special ‘thank-you’ goes out to his tireless caretaker of many years, Daniel.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rosalind; and was the beloved father of Jill, Cheryl and Douglas. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Phillip, Rachel, Abby and Marc.

The family will have a private graveside service to honour his wonderful life.
