Officials from North American harness raceways have announced that they have been forced to either cancel pari-mutuel cards, qualifying sessions or training access on Wednesday (February 7) due to inclement winter weather.

Due to the timing of the snow and concern for the safety of horsepeople, Monticello Raceway has cancelled its card of live pari-mutuel racing for Wednesday. Live racing at Monticello will resume on Thursday (February 8) with a first-race post time of 12:25 p.m.

Earlier, officials at The Raceway at Western Fair District had informed Trot Insider that the London, Ont. track would be closed for training on Wednesday. The closure is due to snow expected in the forecast for the London area. The Raceway at Western Fair District is still scheduled to go forth with its live pari-mutuel card on Wednesday evening. The program is set to kick off with a first-race post time of 6:15 p.m. To view the entries, click here.

The qualifying session that had been scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at Miami Valley Raceway in Ohio has been cancelled.
