Gladys Isabelle McFadden, a resident of Dresden passed away on Tuesday, February 7 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 95.
Born in Dawn Township, the daughter of the late John & Elizabeth (Medd) Symes. Gladys was a honourary member of the Ontario Harness Horse Association. Beloved wife of the late Levi (Jiggs) McFadden (1993). Loving mother of Ted & Karen McFadden. Cherished grandma of Michael McFadden (Nancy), Gary McFadden, Susan Betts (Steve), Larry McFadden (Terrie), Sandra Skinn (Murray), Dana Goodall (Mike) and Brad McFadden (Tina). Sadly missed by 18 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Ruth Newman. Predeceased by son Jack McFadden (2006), sisters Reta Mae, Pearl Houston, Nellie Symes and brothers Henry Symes and James Symes.
The McFadden family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden on Thursday, February 9 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, February 10 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society or Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
