Updated: Wednesday Cancellations

Officials from five racetracks have announced that they have cancelled their programs of live racing scheduled for Wednesday, February 5.

Flamboro Downs has cancelled its Wednesday card due to weather conditions, as the area is being pounded by a winter storm. Simulcasting at the track has also been cancelled.

On Tuesday, officials with Monticello Raceway announced that they had gone ahead and cancelled the track’s scheduled Wednesday live program due to the impending winter storm.

Standardbred Canada would like to inform its members that the main office in Mississauga, Ont. closed at 2 p.m. (ET) today (Wednesday) due to a severe winter storm.

The office is scheduled to re-open Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Officials with the Ontario Harness Horse Association have announced that the OHHA office closed Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. (ET) due to the storm.

In terms of North American thoroughbred racing, officials from Penn National, Charles Town Racetrack and Beulah Park have announced that the tracks have cancelled their scheduled cards of live racing for Wednesday.
