Robert 'Bob' Metcalfe Passes

Trot Insider has learned that longtime trainer Robert 'Bob' Metcalfe passed away on Saturday, January 30 at the age of 68.

Originally from Wingham, Metcalfe was residing in Cambridge, Ont. at the time of his passing. A fixture on Ontario's 'B-track' circuit for years, Metcalfe won 117 race lifetime and was most fond of trotter Something To Keep.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral, but a celebration of life will be arranged this spring with further details to be finalized.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Bob Metcalfe. We raced with Bob many years and have nothing but fond memories, we also owned Something to Keep.
