Rest in Peace Jim . It was a sincere pleasure to have known you while in Alberta.

I have not heard that name since the late 70's and yes even then the story's were colourful and entertaining...........Rest In Peace my friend.........your working for the biggest stable of all now!........Does god still think he's Stanley??

Sorry to hear about the passing of Jim Ransome and our condolences to his family. Jim worked for me as a groom when he first started at Windsor in the early 70,s. He was a diligent worker and liked to talk. I recall telling him at one time " Jim, don't talk, just work. He replied, yes sir. Jim was always polite ". I believe Larry Eaid gave him the nickname " Jungle" because he arrived with a tremendous head of hair and as I recall his hometown was Callander in northern Ontario (coincidentally my youngest son and his family live there now). I lost track of Jim but I am glad to hear that he continued with the horses(he had a good way with a horse) Rest easy old friend.
