This Saturday, Northlands Park will host eliminations for the Western Canada Pacing Derby. Twenty-four three-year-old colts are nominated and the final will be contested on Saturday, December 3. Eliminations are worth $20,000 apiece with the final carrying a purse of $70,000.
The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club will feature an online handicapping contest where Fan Club members will be tasked with handicapping the elimination races. A player’s total bankroll will be based on what their selections pay for a $2 win and a $2 place wager in the elimination AND final, should the player’s selected horses advance.
The winner will be the player who has the highest bankroll. The prize pack will include a $50 gift card to the racetrack of your choice and $50 in Fan Club swag.
The contest will open Wednesday, November 23 and will close Saturday, November 26 at 6:00 p.m. (EST).
