The connections of Captain Crunch and Reigning Deo declined the bye and will race in a single $20,000 ten-horse elimination race where three colts will be eliminated from the final. Accepting the three offered byes were the connections of Blood Money, Semi Tough and Sugar Factory. Those three will join the seven that move successfully from the elimination to the final.
