Rocky Dibello of Richmond Hill, Ont. won the inaugural Breeders Crown Fantasy Draft, presented by Standardbred Canada. Dibello has earned his way into the 2013 World Harness Handicapping Championship featuring an estimated $100,000 prize pool. The 2013 WHHC is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 13 at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Dibello is no stranger to handicapping competitions. He was the winner of the inaugural edition of the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship, and the $20,000 grand prize in 2007. He also took part in the 2008 TCNHC as the defending champion and earned his way into the 2010 TCNHC.

Players drafted six horses, one trainer and one driver competing in the 2012 Breeders Crown eliminations and finals on October 19, 20 and 27 to make up their stables. Points were awarded based on their official finishing positions.

Dibello finished with 156 points thanks to his astute selections which included four Breeders Crown champions – To Dream On, Maven, American Jewel and Bettor Sweet. In addition to the WHHC entry, Dibello also receives a cheque in the amount of $675, which represents the winner’s share of the prize pool.

Garnet Barnsdale of North York was the runner-up with 125 points and receives $225.

Thanks to all players who took part!
