Sean Alward, 30, Passes

Longtime harness racing fan and participant Sean Alward passed away on Wednesday, October 28 at the age of 30 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Alward of London, Ont., worked at Seelster Farms and Killean Acres as a groom in past years. He attended tracks on a regular basis and also was a staple at the sales working as a groom for Preferred Equine, and served as a member of Standardbred Canada's WannaBet team.

Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in London on Sunday, November 1 from 6:00-9:00 p.m and on Monday, November 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m, with the funeral held at 1:00 p.m.

Sean's family would appreciate donations to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society.
