Trot Insider has been informed that Northside Downs will be hosting the Northside Downs Vs. Inverness Raceway drivers’ championship, sponsored by Leblanc Designs and Grahams Racing Silks Inc., over the course of the next three weekends.
The participating drivers will compete in two races per day over the next three race cards (Saturday, Oct. 27; Saturday, Nov. 3; Saturday, Nov. 10).
‘Team Northside’ will consist of Gerard Kennedy, Ryan Campbell and Mark Pezzarello, while ‘Team Inverness’ will boast Redmond Doucet, Rodney Gillis and Andrew Maclean.
The reinsmen will battle to be the top driver on the island and will win a helmet painting donated by Leblanc Design and a gift card towards a uniform from Grahams Racing Silks.
The points will be doled out as follows:
1st - 16 points
2nd - 12 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 6 points
5th - 4 points
6th - 2 points
