This coming Saturday (Oct. 20), the Meadowlands Racetrack will host its third annual pork roll eating competition.
Pork lovers and non-pork lovers alike will head to the Meadowlands to get a taste of the action during an evening of live harness racing.
The competition featuring the New Jersey breakfast staple will take place following Race 6. Fans can enter via the program entry form until Race 4 after which 10 lucky fans will be selected to participate.
The eaters will have two minutes to eat as many slices of pork roll possible to win their share of the $1,000 cash prize and the title of Meadowlands roll-eating champion. First prize is $500, first runner-up will be awarded $250, second runner-up will be awarded $150, third runner-up will receive $100.
Live harness racing will commence at 7:15 p.m.
