Northlands To Host WHHC Qualifier

Northlands Park will be hosting a qualifying event for the 2013 World Harness Handicapping Championship on Saturday, January 19.

The 2013 World Harness Handicapping Championship, which will bring together horseplayers from across North America to compete for $100,000 in prize money, is slated for Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J.

The entry fee for Northlands’ qualifying event is $110, and includes dinner, snacks, programs, $48 on a wagering card (the contestant gets to keep all remaining money on the card at the end of the contest day), and prize money. Top prize is $2,500, a three day trip to the Meadowlands and entry into the WHHC.

Limited to just 100 spots, the World Harness Handicapping Championship is a one-day tournament, with a welcome reception and warm-up event the evening prior. Players may earn a seat in the WHHC through a qualifying event at a partner wagering outlet.
