Freshman and sophomore trotters looking for Atlantic Sires Stakes loot rolled into Summerside Raceway on Saturday with two divisions slated for each age group.

In the end, all four of the winning horses employed catch-me-if-you-can front end tactics.

The first of the two $6,840 divisions for rookie trotters went to the Earl Watts trained and co-owned Windemere Power (In Power - Windemere Spirit) with Ken Arsenault up. Watts co-owns the maiden-breaking trotter with Margaret Watts of North Wiltshire, PEI.

Dunmore Chip (Black River - Sadies Chippergirl) took the other AtSS division with a 2:10.3 score. Joey Smallwood of Stratford, PEI owns, trains and drives.

The two $6,960 AtSS divisions for three-year-olds were each won in 2:05.3. The first division went to Rustico Trisox (Nikes Image - Rustico Moonshine) and driver Joey Pineau for trainer-owner John Pineau of Hunter River and Myron Ford of Winsloe, PEI.

Walter Cheverie won three races on the card, including Sires Stakes divisional winner Saulsbrook Balance (Nikes Image - Animated Lady) for owner Russell Newman of North Sydney, N.S.
