Mind Boggling held on by a neck for a mild 8-1 upset in tonight's $42,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Mohawk Racetrack in a clocking of 1:52.

Driven by Jack Moiseyev, the four-year-old Cambest mare got away fourth as Marnie Hall (Rick Zeron) posted the opening panel in :28.1. The favoured Pink Kangaroo (Steve Condren) was out and rolling from the three-hole en route to the half-mile marker in :56.1.

Moiseyev made his move, tipping his charge out from fourth and taking over the lead before the third quarter station in 1:24.4. At the top of the stretch, Mind Boggling kicked away by almost three lengths, but Marnie Hall found room on the inside coming within a neck of the winner. Pink Kangaroo was third.

The win was Mind Boggling's 10th lifetime score, increasing her bankroll to $381,084 for trainer Darren McCall and the Let It Ride Stables Inc. and the Mentally Stable Inc. or Delray Beach, Florida.
