Inverness Raceway is getting set to offer its fans a Double Bill of Atlantic Sires Stakes action in the week ahead.

The half-miler will host two-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday, September 7, as a pair of $8,.320 "A" divisions and a set of $2,500 "B" divisions will be contested.

The Wednesday, September 10 program is dedicated to trotters, as both the two and three-year-olds will engage in battle.

The Atlantic Sires Stakes racing season is quickly drawing to a close, as only a few race dates remain before the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown championships. This year's event will take place at the Charlottetown Driving Park on October 11 and 12.

The pacing fillies and colts earning the most points throughout the season will find their way into the championship finals, and trotters with the most points will participate in invitational events.

The Atlantic Sires Stakes program has been promoting the sport of harness racing for owners, breeders and racing fans for over forty years, while showcasing some of the best young horses in the region.
