Daniel Harnois Passes; Arrangements Announced

Trot Insider has learned that Daniel Harnois, former president of the Quebec horsemen's association (ATAQ), lost his bout with cancer over the weekend and has passed away.

Harnois was 55 years old.

Harnois served two terms as president, in 2003 and again in 2007. The resident of Quebec City also bred standardbreds that carried the DH name.

Visitation has been scheduled for Saturday, October 4 at 12:30 p.m. at St-Antoine de Tilly Church in the village of St-Antoine de Tilly, QC. A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Harnois is survived by wife Denise, kids Caroline, Marie-Hélène and Micheal and a granddaughter, Maxim.
