Biggar "Shocked" By Lack Of Support

On Monday, the Prince Edward Island provincial government stated that it would not be funding repairs to the grandstand at Summerside Raceway, which has left members of the Prince County Horsemen's Club somewhat concerned about the future.

"From where I sit, we've taken steps backward in this," club president Barry Biggar was quoted as saying in article by the Journal Pioneer. "But in saying that, I still think we can get something done here if there's a will by everyone to do it."

Biggar also stated that he is disappointed and "shocked" with the lack of support from the provincial government. "We're going to have to try and work through it and sit down with the city to try and find out what's going on. At this point in time we don't have a whole lot of idea what's going on."
