The 2014 Racing Under Saddle season in Ontario is winding down, as there are only two remaining races scheduled.
The Raceway at Western Fair District will be the backdrop for an exciting race on opening night (October 3). First post for the night of races is 7:05 p.m., and Western Fair has many promotions and activities planned for the big night.
RUS Ontario has drawn the winner of its ‘You Racing Under Saddle’ photo contest, and the winner is Michele Adair. She will be receiving a prize pack which includes dinner at The Raceway at Western Fair District, a ride in the starting-gate car, participation in the winner’s circle presentation, RUS Ontario t-shirt and more (RUS Ontario will be contacting the winner).
The Friday race at Western Fair is the last regular season race, and it should shape up to be a battle of the best, as two of the riders that are expected to enter carry multiple wins. Several other riders whom are hungry to earn their first win are also expected to enter.
While the London stop is the last one on the regular schedule, the Lakeshore Horse Racing Association will give riders the chance to close out the season with a bang at the Leamington Fairgrounds. Tentatively scheduled for October 12, the Leamington race is sure to be a great holiday weekend event.
