Kawartha Downs celebrated National Caretaker Appreciation Day on Saturday (Sept. 25) with live music, and despite a little wet weather later on in the card, 10 lucky caretakers had their pictures taken in the winner's circle. All received a Kawartha Downs hoodie, $100 HPI card, leather lead shank and a bag of carrots. Four caretakers also took home $25 gift cards from Kawartha from draws in the backstretch.
Special thanks to Stacey Currie for the lead shanks and carrots, and to the Central Ontario Standardbred Association for the $100 HPI cards.
Kawartha Downs would like to thank the many caretakers for their outstanding dedication and care of their beloved horses.
