The lucky winner is Standardbred owner Brett Authier of Wheatley, Ont., who currently owns horses with Blake MacIntosh and is also involved with Ryan Clements’ Bright Future Racing fractional group who purchased two-year-old trotting filly She Started It last fall at the London Selected Yearling Sale.
Brett’s mom’s side of the family is MacIntosh, so he grew up around the sport but was never fully involved until he started attending the races regularly in 2014 with family and friends, motivating him to become an owner and purchase his first horse with Blake.
