Boknows Momngranny kept his rivals at bay with a wire-to-wire winning effort in the top pacing class at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon.
In the featured $1,350 Winners Over, Boknows Momngranny, the favourite from the inside post, rebuffed at challenge from Sweet Sweet Rosco past the half-mile mark and then held off the pocket-pulling Brother John to win by a quarter-length in 1:59 flat. Greg Sparling drove the eight-year-old Bo Knows Jate gelding to his 30th career win. Gotfaithincowboys finished one and three-quarter lengths behind in third.
Trained by George Della Valle for owner Thomas Hawco Jr. of Sydney, N.S., Boknows Momngranny now boasts top-two finishes in nine of his 13 seasonal starts.
