Sweeping to the front entering the backstretch, 3-5 favourite Tajmealover drew away to a six length lead turning for home, eventually winning by three to take the $10,000 Filly and Mare Pace Saturday, August 5 at Century Downs in 1:54 over Lydi Lula Belle and Nighttraintovegas.
A six-year-old mare by Tajma Hall from the As Promised mare Watch Over Me, Tajmealover won her sixth race in 12 starts this season and her 35th start overall, compiling $247,933 in earnings for owners Jean Francois Gagne, Peter Van Seggelen, Carl Warnaar, and Tapron Holdings Limited. Trained by Marjorie Dumont and driven by Jean Francois Gagne, she paid $3.30 to win.
